Does Assembly Vision work over the Internet?

The short answer is yes. Assembly Vision is a windows based application but works over the Internet if your company uses a product like Citrix. Citrix software allows DOS and Windows programs to be run in a World Wide Web environment. It is also used for providing on-site terminals remote access to IT systems and software.

Note: Citrix is not required to run Assembly Vision software. Citrix is a tool for providing remote access to Assembly Vision and other business software. For more information on Citrix visit them at www.citrix.com.

My business structure is a little unique. Will Assembly Vision work for me?

Absolutely. Assembly Vision is completely customizable, allowing you to create a database for a single machine or for an organization with multiple physical locations, buildings, departments, production lines or any other type of configuration. The database architecture you create is unique to your company. Each customer builds their database matching how their company organizes their equipment.

What can I do to make my images display more quickly on my older computers?

Check the resolution of the pictures you are using to link to items in your database. Some digital camera default to a very high resolution. Picture files that are between 100K and 350K will produce very good images in Assembly Vision. They will load much faster than images 750K and larger.

Is there a faster way to input all my manufacturer part data into the Assembly Vision database?

What is the light yellow row on all the screens that have a grid displayed?

All of the Assembly Vision screens that display a grid view of data have this light yellow row at the top of the grid. This light yellow row is called a filter bar. The filter bar does not store any information. It is used to filter the data in the grid using the criteria you enter in the filter bar. You can filter data using multiple columns. To clear the values in a filter bar cell, press F2 and then press the Delete key.
