1. Create a folder on the network that all users have access to - the folder can be named Assembly Vision

 

2. Select and map a drive letter that will work for all users - for this example M:


3. All users will need read/write access to the Assembly Vision network folder


4. Install Assembly Vision on the computers you want to run the software from
   a) you can obtain an installation file from the Assembly Vision Download page
   b) if your company uses a product like Citrix, your IT Support may want to contact us about installation alternatives -
        products like Citrix make managing software updates easier


5. From one of the installed computers - copy the folder UserData (and all of the sub-folders) from
    C:\Program Files\Assembly Vision to the Assembly Vision network folder created in Step 1 - creating for example:
    M:\Assembly Vision\UserData


6. Each computer that will access Assembly Vision will need:
   a) the drive letter in step 2 mapped to the folder setup in step 1
   b) to point the AssemblyVision.udl file in C:\Program Files\Assembly Vision to the database on the network -
        for example M:\Assembly Vision\UserData\Database\AssemblyVision.mdb (the udl file can be modified by
        double clicking the file)
   c) the udl file modified in step 6b can be copied to C:\Program Files\Assembly Vision on all the other computers
        running Assembly Vision


7. Start the Assembly Manager program
    Note: Registration information is collected the first time the Assembly Manager program is being started


8. When prompted for a username and password, the system will initially accept demo for the username and demo for
     the password. Once you have access to Assembly Manager you can create your own usernames and passwords for
     your users
